A Lower Deep

Veil of secrets

See the smile of a child
Hear the cries of a mother
Feel the wind swirl
And wonder from where it comes
Made in God's image
And given dominion
Distinguished by reason
And still the doubts remain

Open my eyes, uncloud my mind

Pieces of the puzzle
Appear to be missing
Seems illdefined
But the picture incomplete
So still there are questions
Never to be answered
When nothing is certain
Faith is all we have

Take me into the unknown
Teach me and I will learn

What for so long seem a fairytale
Now shines from a golden face
Veil of Secrets like a curtain torn away
Tangible is made obselete
